Thanksgiving Appreciation Dinner for Seniors

Thanksgiving Appreciation Dinner for Seniors

Thanksgiving DinnerSaint Bernard Parish celebrates our seniors annually with a Thanksgiving Appreciation Dinner.  This special event recognizes all those 60+ members who have devoted many hours of time and energy in volunteer projects and ministries for the good of our parish community.  The dinner is held in November two weeks before Thanksgiving.  All of our parish students are involved and are asked to bring in canned goods, candy, croutons, or a financial donation to help defray the cost of the dinner.  The Radisson Hotel Pittsburgh Green Tree provides the turkey and mashed potatoes.  With the assistance of an excellent caterer, faculty, staff, adult volunteers, and our parish 8th grade students, we serve a delicious turkey meal to over 300 of our parishioners.  Take-out meals are also arranged to be delivered to homebound seniors.
