About the Fund
The Lee F. Hohman Organ Concert Fund was established in 2006 in honor of Lee Hohman, who served as St. Bernard’s organist for over 30 years. The fund seeks to enhance the cultural life of Pittsburgh, especially the South Hills, by providing financial support for an annual organ concert at St. Bernard Church. Income from the fund supports concerts of great organ literature performed by world-class organists on one of the region’s largest and finest pipe organs. The first concert following the fund’s inception featured internationally-acclaimed organist Charles Callahan for the re-dedication of the newly renovated Casavant-Freres organ.
Lives are enriched through exposure to great art of all types; these concerts are presented in the setting of St. Bernard’s exceptional interiors and rich architecture, creating a total visual and sonic experience unique in the South Hills and rare in Western Pennsylvania.
The Lee F. Hohman Fund is a private, non-profit 501(c)(3) charity. Your donations are tax-deductible; checks should be made payable to the Lee F. Hohman Organ Concert Fund. Donations may be mailed to:
